Installation view of the solo exhibition of SOMA Drawing Center's Artist Exhibition
Installation at SOMA Museum of Art, Seoul

Euyoung Hong’s work readjusts the direction of perception through the concept of “arrangement.” The layers of glass, the reconstructed objects derived from deconstruction, the shadows cast by blurred materials, and their shifting relationships with light all form an additional arrangement in which each element redefines the others’ positions and roles. Rather than relying on immediate visual contrasts, this arrangement guides the viewer toward an understanding of the work’s structural relationships through a gradual, unfolding shift in perception.

The exhibition thus offers a broader sensory experience grounded in visual restraint and spatial depth. Visitors encounter a unified formative experience shaped by disconnection and connection, clarity and haziness, and the interplay between deconstruction and reconstruction.
